Thea’s Top Social Shares (of Late)

So last night, a gentleman made a comment about “weekends” at a networking event I attended last night, to which I replied “you get weekends?” What are those?

Seriously such is the life of an SME. It’s Friday night, firecrackers are going off outside my window (for the third time this week), here I am scouring the Internet – both for content I can share on social media, and for ideas for my Linkedin talk at next week’s New Start Scotland exhibition.

Then I thought it was time I updated a blog. It’s so much easier to tell people WHY they should be blogging for business (to highlight expertise, to help with search engine rankings etc) than it is to actually DO blogging – consistently and well…Thankfully tools like Spundge (which I am writing this in) make things a little easier for me.

In any event, I need to make this brief as I have some Christmas movies to watch on SKY 321, I mean I have a workshop to write before I call it a day. So here was something I found entertaining, it was shared by my friend Mat from Silicon Valley Installation Company and it did make me snigger just a little…

Who remembers those renting those ole video tapes AND having to rewind them before returning them? Classic.

Now I realise this next share is dated just a little (2011) but it was shared to me today (by my dear friend Heather who always shares great content with me) – so it sort of fits in with my “Thea’s Top Social Shares” sort of theme…

There are three videos – this is the first of them (you can find the next in the series on Youtube, I reckon you’re smart that way)…

Then there is a follow up video  2 years later. I recommend you taking the 10 or 15 minutes out and watching all four. I have been inspired by them, and hope you are too.

Wasn’t that great?

It’s been 7 years (exactly) since my biggest adventure ever which was driving solo across the USA meeting my site members from soyouvebeendumped.com. On that journey, I filmed the whole thing as I  called in on family and friends too. This video has definitely got me thinking about my next “adventure” – how about you? What will yours be?

I might just fly to New York and take another road trip to Michigan this time – with my aforementioned friend Heather – who is the best friend I’ve never met!

There have been some other good social shares of late (lots of them), but after the week I’ve had, I just can’t concentrate. Must_try_harder next time! I’ll leave you with this one which, if I recall correctly, was shared by my friend Andrea from Gifts From Fairies….Enjoy it.
