31 Days of Canva Apps: Rock Your Designs with Daily App Drops (1-15)

31 Days of Canva Apps: Days 1-15

31 Days of Canva Apps

Welcome to my 31 Days of Canva Apps post, where I’ll be regularly updating with all 31 apps as I go. Canva’s marketplace now boasts over 300 apps, and that’s just within the first year of launching their developer program, Canva-Extend. While I wish the approval process for apps was a bit more selective, there are still some real gems in the mix. I’m spotlighting about 10% of the apps I believe are worth exploring. So, without further ado, let’s dive in! These apps are in no particular order—I simply browsed the marketplace and picked whichever caught my eye that day. Some days, I even got ahead and created two, just to stay on top of things!

What Are Canva Apps?

Canva Apps are powerful plugins designed to enhance your creative experience by adding extra features and functionalities directly within Canva. These tools, built using common web technologies like REST APIs and JavaScript, run seamlessly in your browser without the need for any downloads or additional software. Whether you’re looking to streamline your workflow, access external content, or bring a fresh twist to your designs, Canva Apps help you customise your projects and unlock new possibilities—all in a few clicks.

Day 1: Replace Background

This app is rather fun and it does what it says in the name. You can swap out your background and make it complete different. If you see my Instagram post you’ll see what I selected as a new background.

Fun or what?
Head to Apps:

  • Search for “Replace Background” and click it
  • Upload your photo or add one to your design
  • Type in a prompt
  • Repeat as needed. You get 10 credits a day.

Day 2 – Text Maker

I love the variety of Text makers in Canva these days. This one is particularly useful and fun. You can create funky text with gradients and so forth.

Head to Apps:

Search for “Text Maker” and check out all the various font and style options. Have fun!

Day 3 – Polymorph 3-D

This is one of a few talking avatar creators that can be found in Canva. It was super fast to make this example of “Luke” in Australia reading off my snippet of typed text to demo this one.

Head to Apps:

Search for “Polymorph 3D”

Day 4 – ColoringBook App

This is a super sweet free App that gives you 3 creations daily or you can purchase more if you want to make a full book for $6.99 a month. Worth it if you are smart with your time. Colouring books do well if you have the right niche/idea.

Day 5 – Sketch to Life

This wee app is just what it indicates in its name. You can draw something even rudimentary and give it a prompt and it will then create your image from those two things.

Day 6 – Gen QR

There are several apps that make QR codes for you. Some are really pretty cool. Some require signups. This one I thought was quite fun when I had a play with it earlier.

Day 7 – Typecard

Ready for your virtual business card? This is a free one and if you sign up on their site you can even edit later which is super cool. I created one for Mrs Claus.

Day 8 – Image Animate

Use it to take your photos to a new level. It’s not just the normal “Animate” you can do some nifty different animated effects.

Day 9 – Speed Painter

Welcome to Day 9. This is a very popular app that people do seem to enjoy. It was there and then it wasn’t and now it’s back and is lots of fun.

Day 10 – MoJo AI

? MOJO AI is packed with heaps of styles, and the best part—you get loads of FREE credits to play with!

Day 11 – Lottie Files

Today’s spotlight is on Lottie Files – which are small animated stickers.

Day 12 – Tracer App

If you ever need to make a quick SVG them this one is for you. It’s particularly helpful, say, if you have one version of your logo but need a different one (e.g black or white or even purple).

Day 13 – Easy Reflection

This is a fun and simple app to create simple reflections.

Day 14 – Brand Fetch

Grab some logos swiftly, inside of Canva, with Brandfetch. It’ll save you time from nicking. your graphics on Google at any rate.

Day 15 – Type Cutout

It takes a bit of tweaking but this one is a fun one for sure…It is what it says it is.
