Art Style Changer App

Hello Canvanaughts. Just hopping on to do a quick post about the Style Changer App.

This is not a sponsored post, so I can be honest about it. I am not some uber cool influencer so I am not paid for content. Its creator reached out to see if I might like to give it a go, and so give it a go, I did. I was gifted some credits so I was able to have a good “play” with it.

Styles for Miles

The Style Changer App currently gives you a variety of styles — Hot, Digital & Sci-Fi, Artistic, Classic, and Retro.

It could be especially useful for print-on-demand projects, or if you create stickers, mugs, or t-shirts and want to experiment with different visual styles.

Honestly, I enjoyed this App. I really liked many of the different styles. I especially enjoyed the Scrapbook, Groovy, Sketch and Flat Sticker. The Comic ones were rather fun too. I could see using this app for print on demand – combining it with Canva’s Image Upscaler to make it higher resolution.

In the spirit of transparency, a few styles weren’t my cup of tea. Inflatable, Hologram, and maybe 3D Figurine didn’t quite hit, but given I was the test subject, I’m willing to accept some of the blame here. ?

A Minor Downside

Like many third-party apps in Canva, you only get a limited number of free tries before needing to buy credits. It’s always a tricky balance.

As users, we’d obviously love everything to be free. At the same time, these apps are built by independent developers who are investing real time, skill, and energy into creating genuinely fun and useful tools. They deserve to be paid for that work.

With Art Style Changer, you get two credits to try it out, which may or may not be enough depending on how much you like to experiment. Additional credits are reasonably priced, with a one-time starter pack for $10.00, or monthly and annual plans if you see yourself using it regularly.

Personally, I’d love to see a future where Canva Pro users get access to more apps as part of their subscription, with Canva supporting developers behind the scenes. But that’s probably a conversation for another day.

Go have a play and let me know how you get on.
