Fancy becoming part of Canva's UK and Ireland Canvassador Community?

Could You Be Part of Canva’s UK and Ireland Community?

If you’re the person everyone asks for Canva help, this might be your sign.

Over the years, I’ve met hundreds of Canva users doing brilliant things with the platform.

Some are creating templates. Many are teaching students. Others are running businesses. And some are simply obsessed with finding the latest feature before everyone else.

If you’re nodding along thinking, “That sounds a bit like me”, keep reading.

Calling UK Canva Creators, Canvassadors and Canva Fans

Canva is currently expanding several of its UK and Ireland programmes, including opportunities for Canva Creators, Canvassadors, educators, students and small business owners.

Whether you’re looking to join the Canva Creator Programme, become a Canva Canvassador, or simply get more involved in the community, there may be something here for you.

As one of the first twenty five global Canva Verified Experts, I’m always keen to see more brilliant people getting recognised, connected and rewarded for the work they’re already doing.

So let’s take a look at the opportunities currently available.

Join Canva Creators UK and Ireland

Canva Creators UK: For Template Designers

Do you love creating templates, graphics or educational resources in Canva?

Then the Canva Creators Programme could be a brilliant fit.

Creators can publish templates and designs to Canva’s library, putting their work in front of millions of users around the world. Better still, Canva pays royalties when people use your content.

The local team is looking for graphic designers, template creators, illustrators and subject matter experts who can create high-quality, customisable content for Canva’s library.

I know and love several Canva Creators, from around the world, who have loved being part of the Creators’ community. There is something rather special about knowing a design you created is helping people all over the world communicate their ideas. If you’re already making templates for clients, creating resources for your audience, or secretly spending hours perfecting Canva designs for fun, this could be your next step.

The Education Canvassador Programme is for educators who love sharing Canva with students and colleagues.

Become a UK SMB CanvassadorSMB Canvassadors: For Small Business Owners

Do you use Canva every day in your business?

The SMB Canvassador Programme is for small business owners, freelancers and solopreneurs who genuinely love Canva.

You’ll connect with other business owners, gain access to exclusive opportunities, and help inspire the wider Canva community.

There are also grants available for community projects, opportunities to host events, and access to The Bersey, Canva’s London event space.

Canva is particularly keen to see more events taking place outside London too, across Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

I was fortunate enough to be selected for the first UK & Ireland SMB Canvassador cohort, and it’s been brilliant to connect with fellow business owners who are just as passionate about Canva as I am.

If Canva is already part of your daily workflow, this is a great way to get more involved.

Benefits of Joining a Canva UK Programme

Of course, there are some nice perks too. Depending on the programme, these can include a free Canva Pro subscription, Canva swag, exclusive events, training opportunities, and the chance to connect with fellow Canvanauts across the UK, Ireland and beyond.

For me, one of the biggest benefits has always been the people. I’ve made friends, found collaborators, discovered opportunities, and learned a huge amount simply by being part of the Canva community.

Could This Be Your Next Canva Adventure?

You don’t need to be a Canva Verified Expert, a professional designer, or someone with a massive following.

You just need to be passionate about Canva and willing to share that enthusiasm with others.

Whether you’re a student, educator, creator or business owner, there may be a programme with your name on it.

And who knows? A year from now you could be attending Canva Create watch party, hosting events, creating templates used by millions, or helping shape the future of the platform.

Not bad for a tool most of us originally signed up to make a social media graphic…

About Thea

Thea at Canva Hoxston Square 2024Hey, if you’re new here, I’m Thea, Scotland’s first Canva Verified Expert. I help humans stop fighting Canva and start using it properly, so they can design faster, feel more confident, and stop hours of unnecessary faffing.

When I’m not teaching Canva, I’m usually deep in retro nostalgia, preserving VHS tapes, digitising cassettes, or crate-digging for records. Because yes, I turned that into a business too at Totally Content.

If you want practical, human Canva training without the fluff, let’s hop on a quick Canva Clarity Call to talk about it.
